Nice find.
I have always eyed that setup from the US Autohome site over the years.

Hi, I was going to buy that trailer off Craigslist, clean it up and resell it... I talked to a guy named Mike I think... Sounded interesting... Hope you are happy with it...

Got the Axle on with the stock wheels, I had to cut a hole in the center of the hub cap to clear the axle grease hub, but they turned out pretty good. Fenders are not on yet, waiting for the paint to dry.

love this trailer I used to drool over it when ever I checked out the autohome page. I am basing the build I am working on off of it. great find! could you please tell me how the roof rack is attached through the canvas? I am trying to figure out how to do it and keep it from leaking

Carl,

The PO had two tents and a custom cover over both tents, this provided a awning type of cover where the cross bars mount to the "Roll bar". He said it never leaked. Since I removed a tent, the mounts are now exposed. I do a lot of desert trips so I have to find a way myself to close up the holes (lots of dust). Let me know if you need any other pics.

Thought I would show off my Home made solar shower:) Some black pvc pipe, sink nozzle, and an air fitting to pressurize the system.

Awesome shower idea...

Have you done this before? That is one of the greatest ideas for a shower on an expo trailer. Can you give some more detail please?

thanks for the pics. It is really close to what I want to do. I plan building my trailer and rack out of square tubing. I am thinking of making some kinda rubber gasket to go around the tubing over the canvas and having a metal piece that goes over that. I am worried about the rain here in washington.

It's pretty simple, 4" pipe with a end cap on one end, elbow on the other with a reducer and a screw in cap. Drilled a hole in the cap and added a air fitting. Drilled a hole in the 4" pipe, used a pipe tap, and added the sink sprayer.

I just got back from our annual four day Mojave Trail trip. I never weighed my trailer, I should have done it before the trip, I think “Dry weight” is around 600-700lbs. It towed great on the Hwy to the trail head and I had no problems on the trail until Afton Canyon… All of a sudden it became a Boat anchor in the soft sand. My truck tires were aired down, but not the trailer. I bogged down, got stuck, and my High Transmission Oil light came on. So I let the Trans cool, aired down the trailer tires and made it through.

I am thinking about removing the canvas coverd "Roll cage", and either making a canvas bed cover, or a hard cover to bring the COG a little lower. Just need to figure out how to still mount the tent with a canvas cover, but the current cover is basicly the same way.

No, I'm not the Hippy dude in the first Pic, thats my brother, and the old guy peeing behind my trailer in the second pic is my dad.

Sorry to be stuck on this, but that shower is awesome! I'm going to steal..... errrr....... I mean incorporate some ideas . . . . :)

How well does it warm up the water? I haven't actually used teh black bag showers so I really don't have a comparison.
