Default 1992 Range Rover LSE 4,200

1992 Range Rover LSE for sale asking $4,200 contact Rob 303-908-5382

For Sale is a very nice 1992 Range Rover classic Short Wheel Base (SWB). This is a rather exceptional example of a very rare Range Rover.

    History:
This Range Rover is an LSE model which was only imported to the USA for 1 year in 1992. The County LSE (Luxury Specification Edition in the UK or Light Sandstone edition in the US) was a limited edition of only 400. The LSE was the top of the line model (the model is not listed in the Kelley Blue Book). The County LSE model cost more than the County and had American Walnut on the shift knob in addition to all the places the County had burl wood. LSE models were painted in either Cornish Cream or Brooklands Green and had the letters LSE on the left side of the tailgate (they did not have any County badges at all). The seats were “Lightstone” Leather with piping. They had front and rear rock guards and special gunmetal five spoke wheels, some LSE models had the wheel s chrome plated by the U.S. Dealers. (The U.S. LSE models all had the 100” wheelbase and were different from the County LSE models in Europe that all had the 108” wheelbase)

    Condition:
This one has the original paint Brooklands Green which is in great shape. The interior is the Sorrel Brown, and is also in good shape. The Front seats have been reconditioned and are in great shape, the rear seats are near perfect. The rest of the interior is in very good shape as well but not perfect, I would say much better than average the body is in similar shape, a few dents and scrapes here and there but truly in good shape.
The engine is the 3.9 V8 and runs great; it has just had a top overhaul with rebuilt cyl heads including all new gaskets and parts. The engine has good compression and it is even across all 8 cyl. The transmission shifts perfect and just had the complete service done. In fact all fluids have been changed recently during a complete reconditioning. The truck has a 2” lift and HD shocks by Brit-Part a top UK supplier of Rover parts. It has 265/70/16 Bridgestone tires, about 31”. The brakes were just done about 1,500 miles ago and work great as does the ABS. The exhaust is new and is a custom 2.5” high performance system including headers. All the service is up to date on this truck and it needs nothing mechanically.
The Rover is not perfect and listed here are the current non working items or issues: The sunroof is inoperative but is closed and does not leak. The power door locks work but have issues, however all doors will lock manually. The rear passenger power window does not work, probably the motor but has not yet been addressed. That is it otherwise the Rover is completely functional.

I have a complete service history including a folder full of receipts and documents including some overlanding history where the truck was driven to Baja and mainland Mexico. This Rover came from California to Colorado and has no rust what so ever. There is a brand new matching tire in the back that is in addition to the spare, in other words there are 6 tires.

Nice truck. Are you sure those seats are Lightstone? They sure look Sorrell to me. And I have an original American Walnut wood hi/lo shifter if the buyer wants one.
