I have started evaluating new tents. I have used a Kelty 3 man 4 season tent for the last few years. I camp year round, up here in the great white north. So I am curious all you guys with RTT's and snow???
How do they do?

Hey Neighbour
I got my RTT in February and went out near Robb, and stayed at McLeod River campsite, no snow, but very cold-16! I have the Columbus Variant and I also bought it with the winter hood. I don't think snow is any issue at all, cold is the bigger factor. I am heading to Mclean Creek this weekend and I think there is a lot of snow there but the forecast is for very warm conditions. The Columbus sets up in about 1 minute and take down is about 2 minutes, so no mater what the conditions are, it would be much more enjoyable set up than any ground tent
One thing for sure, if it does snow, I will be nice and dry!
If you ever see me running around Edmonton, I have a ALL Silver(no white top)FJ Cruiser, wave me over and we can talk some more.
Take care
Barry
