    A friend of mine has his prototype expedition camper for sale. Originally when he retired they were going to start building expedition campers. This is the one and only prototype that was built. It is located near Boise, Idaho. If you are interested contact him directly at

    One inside access

    Carpeted

    He dropped it again, He's down to 3000. I don't think you could build one yourself for 3k.

    I think location has a lot to do with it. If it was in CA or AZ or CO or even UT it would be long gone. We struggle to get nice things into Idaho and then when it comes time to sell them it is difficult. We just don't have the population that demands quality expedition gear.

    Any pics available with the tent down? Any pics of the under-carriage (i.e. is it a leaf-spring, torsion bar, or or or)? I am curious to see it with the lid on. Idaho, that's not TOO far from the geographical center of Canada!

    Specs say 'spring over axle', so I would assume it's leaf sprung. No idea of the axle rating though.

    You couldn't build that thing for $3000 just in materials.

    Do you know how long it takes to setup the tent? It appears you open the trailer and then attach the tent?
