I took advantage of this yesterday morning at work before I started work.
Got the 20% off of one of two items I bought, and also used my dividend.

I was in need of some new long johns for camping in case it gets chilly, and I had some very old REI MTS ones from my cross country/down hill skiing days.

I am not so sure I buy into the whole shutting down trails thing too, as I worked there in the Sumner Distribution Center for eight months when I Was laid off from Boeing after 911, and lots of the execs there who I spoke with had Jeeps and 4Runners, and many of them off roaded on a regular basis.
I have been a card carrying member since 1981 with them.
