My new ZJ Expedition Rig

After spending the last 2 days in the shop, I finally got the sliders installed, the winch bumper switched over, and put new headlight, side marker and blinker assys on the zj. The sliders and bumper got 2 coats of spray on bedliner. This is the fastest jeep build i have ever done as ive only had the jeep for a week and 1 day. Here are a few pics.

Lookin' great! Can you take a different pic of the bumper? I'm trying to eyeball it and keep focusing on that recovery point. Is it me or does it hold a tank sized shackle?

Actually the shackles i am using are from a slingload kit. Rated for like 25k pounds. They work quite well. Ill get a pic of them when i get back next Monday. My boys and i are headin out for a 4 day fishing/camping and wheelin trip. Cant wait. I am also taking our offroad trailer too.

Had an awesome weekend wheelin and testin out the new jeep. Here are the few wheelin pics i got. This is a creek crossing we did. Pic doesnt show the steep banks on either side. It didnt look like anyone had been on this trail in years. Sorry there arent more.

A quick update. I redid the top of my storage/cargo area so it now comes snug w the rear hatch. Also put a rack up top of the storage area for smaller/lighter items. I redid the wiring and switch for my Hella 500s. I will have pics up tonite.

I have finally got pics up. I also added a hose to the spigot on my aqua-tainer so i am able to fill up water bottles, pans and what not. I am able to refill the container w/o removing it from the zj. I used a small peice of tubing w a threaded end that fits on a water hose. Works well so far.

So I went to a jeep rally today that was sponsored by a local jeep dealership. Had a blast and won a set of front and rear diff armor and a 500.00 certificate towards a set of new tires. So I'm gonna be checking out some 32s prob. Ill keep y'all posted. I got the diff gaurds installed. Ill get pics up later. There are also a couple pics from my jeep set up at the rally and some show my rear awning set up. The pic of the front shows the absence of the evap canister.

We won the first place/ best in class too for the zj. So it was an awesome day for us. The wife was happy. We even beat out a couple of the new grandys.

That's really cool! My ZJ is having the same effect so I know what you mean. I often go hang out at Ranch Muffler where there are a lot of Jeepers working on repairs to their rock crawlers. I forsee a lot of these guys moving away from obsticle conquering and getting into Expo adventure. Keep up the good work man!!
