Sorry it's a bit late to warn you, but those shocks are junk - IMHO. They rode great for a year and ultimately failed. Granted they were on a heavy 110 and were thrashed, so I am sure that contributed to their failureTwo of the shocks were essentially empty and were not providing any dampening. Either way, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I hope you have better success!

Ha! I don't even remember the last time I rode in a stock Land Rover. My rover has OME rear springs and SafariGard front progressive springs that give a total of 3inches of lift. The shocks do their job for the roads in New Orleans.
How heavy was your 110?

I don't have an exact weight, but it's a tdi, full armor (skids, sliders, bumper), winch, NAS cage, tool drawer in the back, recovery tools, 35" spare tire, spare fuel, gear, etc. The springs I had at the time were M&M from the UK. I am now running TF HD springs front and rear with Fox remote reservoir shocks.
I was initially very happy with shock, but they just didn't last with my abuse.

Really nice 110! I can see how you punish them. I will keep the fox's in mind if these fail.

Oh man....stock. No idea how to compare it really since I can't recall a the truck in anything close to stock. I'd say if stock is 0 on your scale then these are like 2-3 (depending on springs they are paired with).
I have LR HD springs F&R, progressive coil in the back + rubber isolators top & bottom + the DII rubber shock tower setup on the front-so the right is cushy by all accounts with ok flex (springs had to be retained b/c the shocks will let them unseat).
We'll see how long they last; my truck is def not as heavy as my last build and not even close to Jonathan's.

I read you. The only aftermarket shocks I've used on any of my Rovers are Old Man Emu's. Those are noticeably stiffer than stock, on stock springs. Give good control though. I'm mainly interested in shocks for my Rangie. I like the nice, soft stock springs, and will limit the lift to spring isolators, as with yours. I had this on my old 96 Disco, and liked it with the 245R16 tires. When my stock shocks need replacing (probably now), I'd like to go with some that complement the soft stock springs. Was thinking of standard Bilsteins. . .
BTW: How do you like those LR HD springs? I've been interested in trying those too. . .
