Dana style front axles tend to be able to allow the knuckle to mechanically swing to more extreme angles than IFS or Birfield style solid front axle setups. This allows a tighter turning radius.

Of course, fully cranked over the joint is at its most vulnerable with respect to breakage. Easy does it with the throttle in these situations. Cranked over hard and tires jammed between rocks with heavy throttle can result in joint breakage.
