2012 Brisbane 4WD & Tinnie Show

I just took a quick couple of photos while at the show today...sory about the "Blackberry" quality. Hopefully some other ExPo members that were able to attend can also contribute. I know at least one of the ExPo members that came over for a chat at the Toyo Tyres stand was a pro-photographer so I'm sure it wouldn't take much to improve on my pics.

If anyone is used to the Bris Caravan & Camping Show, this is certainly much smaller. The 4WD Show also combines with the Tinnie Show and I would guess the area covered by displays would be closer to half that of the Caravan Show so I guess then that the 4wd alone would only be 1/4 of the size but the crowds were huge and displays were great too. More like the same numbers but squashed into the smaller area........it would be good if the organizers would spread it out more. Overall, it was a fantastic turnout by the public and exhibitors and sunny weather for a change ......imagine if they'd had it a couple of days earlier...all the tinnies would have been floating.

We had the competition arena right behind us so all you hear was rockcrawlers and Gators buzzing around which made it really distracting ... I kept wanting to pop my head around to catch the action .

Cool solar stuff....the briefcase panel gave 80 watts....I had to read that twice. Still find it hard to believe. (Sorry. Checked again on the brochure when I got home..it says there > 30 watts. That's more like. Still really good gear and big range of products...more for hiking though)

What sort of person says "well one blower wasn't going to be enough"? ...imagine what he told his wife when she got the bill.

The red Patrol in the background had a blown Chev conversion.

I'm jealous!
Unfortunately, we are not able to travel at the moment; would have made the trip to Brissie otherwise. :(

I was not that impressed with the show this year, when will we see vehicle manufactures presenting there 4x4 for all to view. The other thing it was loads smaller than previous years :(. Im thinking, save the money & go to Melbourne or Sydney 4x4 shows.

Just my grip.

I was very impressed with the green suspension :Wow1: on the mustard truck on the Toyo stand.

Cheers
David

Hi David...... believe it or not, I've only ever been to one Bris truck show and this was the first Bris4x4 show.......I still think the Bris Caravan & Camping Show is the one. Plenty of everything in one place. The suppliers that do the circuit, all tell me that's THE show too.

Hi Mike.......mate, you are welcome. If I get to the big Bris Show in June , I will do another report like in the past. Did you see Scott Brady's report on the Bris Show last year?

Regards John.

Big thanks for the pics and comments...don't worry about being phone pics, that is better than nothing.

You have me really excited for the show in June since we will be in the area for our vacation.

Thanks again for the report.

Hi Stu ...... just re-did my Vstrom tank with some of the leftover "desert" paint. My wife hates it too. Reckons it reminds her too much of nappies.
