Hopkins GripTrax Traction Plates

I saw these while buying a trailer hitch for my sedan. Yes they are a bit small and hard to tell from the pictures but a lot less grip. But would they do what a Matracks does 90% of the time...I think they would. And for 12 buck vs???? you could buy two sets and put them on all four tires at once. Would they dig and not bend...I don't know.

Just wonder if anyone has tried these in particular. I can't find any reviews online.

Not trying to be snarky, but for $12. why don't you buy a pair of them and test them out. I think many of us here would be interested in your findings. Thanks.

I currently live in the SE and haven't seen any significant sand in 10 years and real snow besides a trip thru town in the same amount of time. I might get a pair for the heck of it but I will not be offering up any reviews anytime soon sadly.

I got a set as a joke, they are not for real extraction just ice and such. I mangled one in 2 seconds under the montero in a foot of snow.
