Default Ok...Here she is. My Mitsubishi Pajero

Just thought Id post some pics up of my awesome Pajero. Was out feeling out what kind of offroader it would be today. Driving down some dirt tracks, hitting some mud and a few hill climbs. I know now what it needs...Gonna keep you guys posted on what goes into this...right now its still in the planning.IMG_0062.jpgIMG_0060.jpg

Nice rig, thanks for sharing some pictures already! I'm sure you'll love it. Care to share some of these ideas you have? I for one am always looking to see what other folks are doing to their rigs.

I'd love to share my ideas.

1st: Suspension upgrades. 1.5" - 2" lift, 300kg constant load coils, front torsion bars.

2nd: Tires. Not sure what I'm going to get though but something taller and skinnier. No wide tires

3rd: Engine tuning. Looking for aftermarket intercooler for the diesel engine, EGR removal, 2.5" turbo back straight pipe, snorkel. Also will add more engine gauges: pryometre, oil pressure, turbo boost.

4th: Interior mods. Remove 3rd row seating, build camping cabinets (fridge/cooler, stove, sink, and storage) arrange a sleeping arrangement of sorts (have yet to work out options) build a folding table that attaches to rear door. Recover front seats with a more breathable material (currently has vinal)

5th: Exterior mods. Remove all plastic fender flares and plastic trim from lower doors. Fill in any clip holes. Paint box guard on lower doors and rockers. Remove running boards and replace with a well hidden rock slider. front and rear bush bumpers. Extra driving lights. An aluminum roof rack. Rear bumper will also have a jerry can and water can holder, a tow hitch and recovery points.

I know this sounds like a lot of extra weight but I'm hoping to save weight on the stuff that I remove. I'm also trying to build things brilliantly to save weight as well.

These are ideas that are liable to change. Can't wait to see it happen though

Nice rig. Nice mod list, too. (PS: 245 FTW)

If you run into trouble upgrading the IC on that thing (meaning, there are no bolt-in kits readily available), keep an eye out on the DSM forums. I've also seen Dodge Neon SRT4 ICs (which are a good size) go for US$20 from time to time. Pick up a generic intercooler piping kit (Google and ye shall find), and you should be able to get really close to 100% happy for under US$150, which is a solid score in my book.

    Keep us posted!

Problem with the intercooler is its specific fit. It can only go on top of the engine only...no room for it anywhere else and that's where the hood scoop is as well. The intercooler does need to be replaced. It would be nice to find something a little more free flowing
