You do realize this section is for selling items. Cool idea though, I will have to keep this in mind. How does air get through from the bottom?

I'd be interested in how the air gets in from the bottom too. Can we see a photo from a couple of the bottom angles?

Oppps.. To answer the question there are four fours that are drilled in it. 2 are in the front and two are in the rear.. How can I move this to the correct place?

That is pretty cool.
I just picked up three of those a few weeks back at my local indoor range.

What would be cool if you put a logo on the side and called it "Ammo Peak".

I dont make em. My friend Tim does. I wouldn't want to put my name or likeness on anything I dont make myself.

The only paint that is toxic is CARC. They dont use CARC paint on ammo cans or general merchandise.
CARC is only used on Certain Vehicles. The ones that the Military want to remain hidden form the enemies.
Why would the rubber seal need to be removed? You normallyt would not close the lid until it cools down.?

I did the curing of the paint last night, I used some wood I had laying around that I cut up to fit in
the grill. I had it burning for about an hour and 12 minutes. After a couple minutes of being cool to the touch
I cleaned out the ashes and closed her up. I just opened it and all is fine, still looks brand new.

Cool. I'm just concerned with the paint because those GI ammo cans reek badly of paint to begin with... I wonder if that will affect the taste of what you grill on it. If not that's awesome since these can be mass produced or made at home for super cheap.

Tim sands down the cans and uses Grill paint to spray them with. I will put a steak on it tomorrow and let you know. I hope that you are not right.
otherwise I guess I have another fire box.

Great concept but lots of things make me nervous about the product. If it weren't an old ammo can, I would trust it much more. Ammo cans are re-used and I can personally tell you that I have used one as a place for personal waste before.

Why not do like we did in boy scouts and use an old coffee can or (new) small metal trash can?
