    Default Good deal for a tacoma?

    I cam across this this morning, wondering if its a good deal or not?

    4x4 enthusiast's favorite

    1997 Tacoma ex-cab 4x4
    V6 3.4L
    165k miles
    cruise control
    air conditioning
    rear sliding window
    Power locks and windows
    canopy
    Tow Package
    meaty tires
    5 spd
    Mechanically sound!

    $8000 firm


    Sounds like it is, although it has higher milage than I like.

    Too much $$$$ for the miles and no TuRd pakage with the e-locker.

    Check ebay and Autotrader for price comparisons. Kelly Blue Book is good if you're east of the Mississippi River. Out west everyone uses Nada Guides to determine vehicle values.

    Also most banks don't like lending on vehicles with over 100K, unless it's a diesel. So unless you have the cash, I would look for something closer to 100K miles.
