FWIW, i also use a RAM mount when i'm using the ipad for navigation and have to remove the Otterbox because it won't fit into the mount otherwise.

If you use the RAM Tab-Tight it works perfectly. I'm using the Tab-Tight to hold my iPad 2 in the Otterbox Defender case.

I've got to say that so far i love it and so do my children( age 2 and 4) . It provides a great handle for them to carry around with or prop up with and is very sturdy and lightweight. I would definitely recommend you getting this cover.I t is also a nice iPad case for travel due to the handle.Besides, Charging port is covered and other ports are accessible although more difficult for little fingers to get to because they are deep enough.
