XJC: WELCOME to EXPO!

That is a great build! form and function were well thought out!
I like the angle iron doors that sit flush with the tub.
Awesome work!

Does anyone know of different ways to extend the drawbar by about 700mm? I have a few ideas and will not be taking off the old one to weld on a completely new one. Just want to see what other thoughts are????

Wow!

Super little trailer there bud - very functional and cool galley! I just finished building one myself for my trailer.
Whats in that black belly tank? Assuming its a water???

Thanks,
Yep the black tank is a 70 litre water tank. A hand pump is fitted on the left rear. I should really make up a metal skid plate to protect the tank a bit.

Ok the plan now is to extend the drawbar to add an additional box to the front, help a little with tracking and make it easier to reverse.

Did some cutting today
Cut off the hitch and then the new space required.

Then a trial fit

Made sure I have enough room to open the swing away whell carrier (important as I carry the fridge in the back of the XJ and don't want to have to unhitch for short stops) and trial my old storage box which I have been lugging around for 15 years but never really used.

Should get it welded up tomorrow.

Ok, Finished up today.

Box on, paint on. Wiring extension done. Connected up. Sits slightly higher now with an empty XJ, but I expect it to be level when I am loaded up. Off for a an overnight testdrive tomorrow.
