Default Ford Ranger ( Europe Style) 2.5 TD

    Hi Folks,

after selling my Mitsu Pajero 3.5 V6 I bought a new Truck.

    Its a 2004 Ford Ranger 2.5 TD 4x4 with 109 Horsepower Turbodiesel.

The European Version is simular to the Mazda B2500, both was building in Thailand.

After lurking here for a while I see so many good ideas for Pick Up Trucks my building is
    heavy influenced by these Forum...

Argh! It's so aggravating that we can't get this truck in the US...

Post up your experiences with your Ranger!

Hi, its a lot less comfort then the Pajero, its realy noise and I miss the rear Diff. locker.

But the fuel consume iss 30% less.

And I can build the Truck as I like it...

    Modifcations so far:

Tires: from 235/75 R15 to 235/85 R16 ( with the Original Tires the gears a to short)

Bed: First I bring a Bedliner on it, it was an Comercial Truck before I buy it, so the Bed locks
    a little bit used...

Then I build a cage of Steel, inside for a Slideout System and for my RTT on the Top.

I replaced the rear Seats, its a extended Cab, with a Platform of Plywood.
Behind my Seat for the Fridge, on the other side for my Dog.

The original Seats where also replaced, I take a older " Sportseat" from König wich is simular
to Recaro you maybe know in the US.

On the front there are two Pencibeams from Hella.

For Navigation I have an older Garmin Nüvi with SD slot and an very old Garmin GPS 3+ for backup.

I bought the Truck last summer and we go around 10.000 KM so far, and Im still happy every time
    I drove it.

This ranger looks slightly different than NA models, but also different than those seen in Afghanistan. Did ford make 3 versions?

Maybe you see a newer one?

My Ranger is from 2004, Ford make a Facelift 2008 and replaced the 109 HP TD with the
    143 HP TDCI.
