    Default First Time TC buyer...

It seams a lot of the TC'ers here and on RV.net have purchased 2 or 3 TC's
before getting it right, as to their needs and wants. Kind of a progression
into the perfect TC for them.

For you guys that have done this, Do you think it is possible for a first time
TC buyer to order/purchase a custom TC from Phoenix/Coyote and get it
the way he will be happy with the first time, and enjoy it for many years to
    come??

Or would you suggest a cheap, starter TC for the first??

I suppose it depends entirely on budget. I'm sure either route can meet objectives.

I went with the "old camper" route and am very happy with it. I probably have a total of about $700 invested, including purchase price and it's set up just how I like it. The advantage of starting with something semi-disposable is that there's no hesitation about ripping things out or making changes. I also really enjoy taking something that would have otherwise been headed to the landfill and giving it the attention needed in order to be very usable once again. It's my first (and hopefully last) TC.

If the budget allows, I'm sure the custom camper can also be designed so that it meets objectives exactly, especially with a manufacturer like Coyote/Phoenix that is very attentive to the goals of the consumer.

Who knows. My first camper was about $12k and I realized it wasn't what I wanted by the time I had it a year. I believe my next will be as custom popup from coyote rv, now that I have a good idea of how I want to use a camper and store it, etc.
Sometimes it's tough to know what things are going to be most important until you try it.
