I swear, that's my old rig! I traded it in on an Xterra last year. There should be a handwritten note at the nose in black Sharpie,I had to make a serial #up to insure it. Does it still have the flip up storage uner the sleeping area? When i traded it in it had aluminum wheels from a 2000+ Ford.

Maybe Ill see you around SD. I can tell you its been to Death Valley, and NM (several times) with that FAX. I can even tell you where the H2O tank came from and how the arch in the hood got there.

Somebody should be very happy. Scootr

Scootr! I heard about you but we never met! Small world! Yes this is your truck - I bought the truck from your friend (he has an incredible International Truck Collection). Two days ago I sold the truck to Adam. In the year that I've owned the truck I had the spring bushings replaced, I installed a new hood, new MT tires, a bunch of new accessories on the driver cabin, Husky Liners, dash mat, to the exterior I added a tiregate with two can holders, carrying a Nato can and a South African Water can, I added hi-lift and mount to driver side bed rail and axe/shovel kit and mount to driver side bed rail... I loved the truck for the year that I owned it. Only made it on two trips thought... I have too many other rigs and another business to start so I decided to sell it. The camper still has the storage and custom carpentry and all the expert wiring you added, the solar and all... it is one killer rig, and the new owner will use it a lot more then I ever could!

Thanks to you both for keeping the truck and camper in great shape. Can't wait to get it off the pavement this weekend.

Scootr, I would enjoy hearing any stories you have about the truck (like the dented hood (which is resting peacefully in Pelle's driveway!) and the H2O tank). Perhaps I should start a thread for the truck unless one already exists?

I dont think I ever started a build. I picked up the truck from a farm in temecula, then drove to phoenix to pick up the FWC. The hood was bent on her maiden (for me) voyage to Dumont. I had problems with the alternator not charging the battery (bad cable connection) but my buddy didn't close the hood all the way. It popped up (was fine) but the hinge was stuck open and he kept pulling hoping it would close..... Alas bending the hood. I loved that truck (minus the mpg). I couldnt use it as a daily driver any longer (20k miles this year). So I "went a different route" as we all say at some point.
