Thank you Nathan. Sorry you weren't able to venture out with us but word is that things are looking up and you will have a rig soon!

I don't really feel they are on par with my past efforts. I recently picked up a polarizing filter and am enjoying it but it does have a slight learning curve I need to get used to. I also didn't bring all my batteries for my SLR so thankfully on our second day's outing I charged my one battery with the inverter in the truck bed.

Thanks Eric! Being in the 2nd spot in the convoy let you get a photo that I asked about. I like the one of the trailer R-tick-U-lating.

What I learned the hard way about my polarizing filter is to always rotate it clockwise! I almost left it behind in the snow at the Bristlecone Pine Forest!

Oh I have that part down, and usually leave it set when shooting horizontal or vertical and then 90 degrees when changing from one to the other.

For those who were not there, what you can't see in this pic is the 4" gash in the sidewall of the tire.

I just did the math and discovered that I turned nearly 17mpg on our convoy from OC to Lone Pine.
You Toyota people probably have a blank look on your faces, but I didn't think that was possible in my 135k mi, roof racked, 5.8 Bronco. Yet another reason that I should give up the idea of 33" tires.
