    Default Tall narrow tires 33"+

I have been looking for new rubber for the beater she is getting a 4" lift and I would like to lower my hwy rpm from 3000 closer to the 2500 range at 65. I have been searching for a while the standard hear is 255-85-16 is the ticket well I want closer to 35" not 32". I have even thought of the 37" military humv tires.

    What I can find

    q78-16 super swamper 35.5x10x16
900r16 if you can find them 36" x9.5 to 10
255x100x16 michlin hard to find and pricy

    dose any one have other's

I was once able to get coops buckshots in odd sizes

I would rather stay narrow yes stability but its a full size long box
M Y R (maintain your rig) that means all of it. I run big rubber lockers and I can get parts any where

    255 85 16 is closes to 35 than 32

Official specs on the bfg km2 is 33.3 inches tall. Most 35's measure about 34 inches, so it is very close to a 35x10 tire.

There is a STA superlug that might work. It is a narrow 34" bias ply.

Search/read Redlines thread on 255/85R16 in the general vehicle mod section. It gives you the measurements (real world) for most of the tires in that size. He is the resident guru on tires...

All right, how about this... If you find any 9.00-16s let me know. I would like a set too!

Ive been down this road and ended up staying with 315/75 and got myself some new yoko geolanders. 255's were gonna be too small and unstable. I looked into 9.00-16 and 99% of those tires come into this country on imported vehicles. If you find some used your lucky. All other options were going to be either speed rated or the wear rating would be terrible for daily driving. I just found out that geolanders are made in a 37X12.50X17 which I would have rather ran but Ill have to wait till my next set of tires. Personally I think 37X12.50s give that same tall skinny look even tho they are a wider tire. Only problem is, can they fit?

STA super lugs are the only readily available 9.00 r16. About 10x36. I'd love to get some xzl's, but just can't.
