These are some great additions guys. Thanks! I'll get the first post updated when I get some time. Post any good pics that show games in action. A good thread's got to have some pics!

Here's to those kids! Let's keep them outside and dirty!

My daughters, currently 10 & 5, enjoy much of what has been posted up till now (minimalist seems to lend itself to them going out and discovering their own things to do). That being said, one thing they've consistently enjoyed are these:

Don't take up much space, but provide for a good time.

    Default BB Guns

My kids are getting older, so I've started expanding the camping games.

I got out by old BB guns from when I was a kid. A pump rifle and a CO2 cartridge pistol. Now there's a new reason the wife and I need to bring beer. The kids need some cans to shoot at.

We have found it very fun to shoot the BB guns while camping.

It's also good gun safety and handling practice for them to learn. Next up will be a .22 rifle.

I remember when my now teenagers were younger I kept a deck of cards around for go fish, coloring books & crayons
& those magnetic board games like chess and checkers

& if the weather was really lousy we had one of those old am/fm/sw/ 7" tv units around
with a simple dipole we made & kept with it, it was intersting to see what you could receive when nothing around existed
