    Default Warn CE M8000?

Just scored a brand new Warn CE M8000, minus the control pack, for $100. Rediculously awesome deal . However, this winch carries the CE designation:

"CE products are designed to meet European Standards. CE winches include CE labels, manuals, roller fairlead, safety hook and thimble."

Some questions... how does this differ from a non CE designated winch? Or, are they largely the same? Are the parts interchangeable?

Some shots of the labels for further clarification:

    Default CE Mark

    thejafe -

When I worked in manufacturing years ago, our company had most of our products CE marked. The CE mark is necessary if you want to sell product to the European market. Getting a CE mark pretty much entailed lots of paperwork, documentation, and some fees ($$$). The products were no different than the ones we sold in the US.

I don't know about the winch industry, but I doubt it would be any different.

Edit to add: The instructions may have some extra languages added to them also.

Nope; no major differences. Basically, we had to add a hook with a clasp at one point and a bit more literature.
