I've been contemplating getting one of these. Doing some research on the net, people are happy with the product but in the same breath I see a lot of negative comments in regards to the straps, sag and fading. Does anyone know if there is a "updated" option coming out soon? I would rather pay more up front once then to keep replacing the thing. Just my 2 cents.

An updated version is in production as we speak. It will address the problems we are running into. I take these issues personally and that is why i replace a bag at no cost to the end user ASAP. As stated previously and in other threads, we produce these bags on a large scale , so changes take time. We will also try to incorporate some of the upgraded items such as a grab handle that people have been wanting.

That sounds good. Is there a rough "ballpark" time frame on completion?

Good to know! I love my Trasharoo.
The one I have now is the tan color. It doesn't seem to be holding up nearly as well as the black one I had that either fell off or got stolen last summer. I'll see how it does on my trip to New England in a couple weeks.

If things work out the way they should I'll be starting my trailer project soon, and will have the perfect place for one of these. I would also be interested in the updated version timeline.

A time line is a tricky subject. Since we make them out of the country, they could arrive anywhere from 60-90 days, all the way up to 120-140 days. We've even seen our shipments take 6 months nearly to get here when sourcing materials gets finicky and holidays are involved. It's hard to say with importing as it comes down to logistics, how busy the factory is and how long it takes for test samples. We don't want to rush the production and we don't want to have a huge container of blems show up as well.

I just want you all to know we are working on this and thank you for your patience in the matter. It's just Yoshi and I and Trasharoo is not our primary business, so sometimes it's hard to be able to focus 110% of each day on production goals. With that said, we want all of you to be happy with your purchase and be able to use it for years, not months. We will do whatever it takes.

    Thanks again,

Would it be feasible to say before the end of the year?

Yes, i would say by the end of the year at the latest. We're looking into another plant that can communicate better on a daily basis. This combined with changing some materials (upgrading) and no longer dying the straps is one of the issues we're dealing with right now. Eventually, it will be a GEN3 bag with a few more requests put into production. For now, the GEN2 bags are still available and offered at a replacement guarantee if there ever is a problem down the road.

I really like my Trasheroo and am asked about it at campsites and gas stations all the time. Mine is ( was) black and has faded nicely. I don't get complaints about fading..it's a trash can.
    Thanks, Dave and Yoshi!
