Bought the axle from Southwest Wheel Co.
3500 lb. Standard Spring Trailer Axle
67" face to face because of the deep backspacing of the OEM Hummer H3 wheels
    6 bolt - 5.5" bolt circle hubs

Did you get the springs, spring hanger kit, and u-bolt kit from them as well? I've been pricing out some parts for a future build and they seem rather reasonable for a full axle kit. I also will be running H3 wheels on my trailer.

I ordered the U-Bolt kit and the axle. New axle perches come with the axle.
I stayed with the original springs that were on the trailer.
Everything that I got is good quality. I would expect the springs and hangers to be too.

Make sure you triple check your dimensions to accommodate the deep backspace of the H3 wheels when you figure the length of the axle.

Thanks! Noted. I calculated needing approx 8" of clearance from the hub face to the frame of the trailer. I'll be running 285/75/16 tires.

Had some time to work on the trailer the past few mornings, before it got too hot.

Fender fab complete and some paint applied.
Still need a second coat of bedliner in places.

Not much left to do. Hope to have the lights wired by Sunday for a test ride. This would complete phase 1 - rolling utility trailer.
Phase 2 will take more planning & $$$.

    Phase 1 - Complete

Installed the lights, safety cables, tailgate chains & storage box today

Then took it for a ride - pulls perfect.

Looks great! Matches perfect, What is next?

I'm thinking a rack to start off with. Because of the stake pockets, I might build something that could be adjustable heights.
