Default Surplus cases in Beatty NV

A couple of weeks ago we were driving home from Seattle and ended up passing through Beatty NV (on I-95, a couple hours north of Las Vegas). There's a fellow who sells surplus (ammo & other misc. military-type) cases by the roadside; his selection was amazing--actually a bit overwhelming. I was pretty whipped when I stopped so I couldn't think of anything I needed a case for, but knew I'd have several ideas once I got home. So, if you're passing through Beatty, plan ahead with your storage needs--he may have something. (He doesn't do internet/mail order sales.)

Good to know, we are heading down to Vegas in Oct. I'll check it out.
Is he at the flea market just south of Eddie World?

BTW Eddie World is not to be missed when you pass through Beatty.

Yes, it's between Eddie World (you're right, it's not to be missed) and "downtown"; I don't know about the swap meet--this guy's set-up looks like a 1-man swap meet (he's on the North side of the highway). If he has his "closed" sign up, look for a truck by the trailer--he's probably there. He was "closed" when I stopped by, but came out to see if I wanted anything; he was very pleasant--we walked around, looked at stuff and talked about surplus sales, etc.

Usually there are a few people with folding tables set up under the cotton woods around there. Lots of Purple glass and glass telephone insulators and such.

Everybody I've ever talked to in Beaty was pleasant, it's a very friendly town.
