    blocks make great moorings...2 big blocks chained together can hold a pretty large boat at mooring...
    best one we ever made though was a 750 lb forklift "fork"...once that was sunk in the mud you could have hitched up the queen mary

    My guess...

    They don't have the proper synthetic engine oil. I spoke to one of the guys who runs a Toyota shop here in Sierra Leone and he had several in which were worn out in under 100,000kms due to using dyno engine oil. The same goes for any of the new engines. The engine has too close tolerances to use dyno engine oil. Not sure what you're supposed to do in a place like Sierra Leone where anything of quality is not available. I have a hard time finding a CE (something decent for the turbocharger) or better dyno oil for my old 3B!

    Makes me glad I have an old 3B for my travels. I could probably put palm oil in the crank case and the tank and keep going if I absolutely had to!!!
