Thanks for posting - I hadn't run across this video. I have always admired this guy and his style of travel based on his various websites over the years. Is his book a worthwhile read?

Both are. But I may be biased considering that I edited the first one, and started editing the second before I got involved in a paying gig and didn't have enough time to get more than the first couple of chapters done.
