We went to Overland Expo the last year in 2009 to do research on a trailer. After spending a lot of time kicking tires and asking questions, we left knowing we wanted a Horizon. It took a while to actually acquire one; which we did 14 months ago. We are stoked to be driving our Horizon down to Mormon Lake to this year's OX. It's definitely worth the trip to see, face to face (so to speak) stuff you wouldn't normally see (unless you drove through Prescott, AZ). It's also great to be able to speak with the people who make the stuff. For us; at least 50% of the reason we selected an A/T were the owners and staff; who made us feel that no matter what happened, and where, they'd be there for us. That's certainly been the case.

I'll be there looking to decide on which trailer will work best for my family. Primarily I'll be checking out teardrops, but I'll be eyeballing every kind of trailer while I'm there.

We will be there with our Ouray Base Camp prototype. www.aspenXtrails.com The trailer will have close to 13,000 miles on it by the time we get there. Many real off road miles on some of the toughest trails around. We will be in booth 53.

I wonder why we are not listed in the original information sheet.

We will start taking orders on 1 June 2013. An American made trailer.

For my son and I, it is 988 miles each way (driving straight thru). We are leaving Wednesday after work and driving all night. We flew out last year to Amado and got a chance to see everything first hand. Last year my son had a 2wd 2009 Tacoma Sport and I had a half finished M416.

This year we are driving his new (8 days and counting) 2012 4x4 Tacoma Sport and my 95% finished M416. The bad part is that I just drove thru Flagstaff Friday on my way home to Dallas and coming from California. Get to do it again this week!!!!

    His new truck:

And my (he says his!) M416:

We will take lots of pictures. We did last year.
