Wrapped up the lid and sprayed the whole trailer in rescue green to match the JK. Had the bed spray lined just two days before it's maiden voyage which went flawless. I love this little trailer...

Sometime this summer I'll do a hub conversion to the original axle so I can put on matching jk wheels. For now though, I plan to just use it and see what all I'd like to add/modify. I set it up for a RTT but after going through a 3" rainstorm followed by 35mph winds in my kodiak tent without a drip, I can't see myself ing anytime soon

Very Cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is that a Thule track on top? What basket did you use.

Mine looks a lot like yours. These things (M416's) are so much fun.

That lid came out great Steve! Gotta get down your way some time to see it up close. Sans the rack and paint, what was the final cost?

I almost bought a set of Thule tracks for it back in January but after buying rack parts for my wife's expedition, I realized tracks from a 97-02 ford expedition would fit perfectly and accept Thule or yakima towers and bars. I pulled the tracks myself from the local u-pull it for under $20 and picked up Yakima towers and bars off of Craig's list. Total was only about $45 minus the basket which is a Yakima load warrior, already had it.

I have found wheels but they are over an hour away in a direction I never seem to go... Locally, people want $300+ for a set, I'd go aftermarket before paying that. The other guy I found will sell a set of 5 for $100 or two for $50. I'm thinking I'll get five and have them and two of my originals powder coated matte black, should look pretty good.

The lid ended up somewhere around 350 with all hardware necessary and me doing all the labor. I see why they cost $900+ to buy one, it was a ton of work but worth it in the long run.

Stop by and check it out sometime, I have no plans to go anywhere the next few weeks. I have got to knock down some of the honey-do list that was overlooked by my projects or I'm a dead man...

Super lid, that's exactly what I am planning to build. Is that 1/2" or 3/4" square tubing? I'm thinking 1/2" might be good enough, want to keep the weight down.
