Before taking it from stock, it handled like a sports car.

    After, like a truck.

I don't take it crawling often. But it has done really well, and similar setups have gone on just about every trail in Moab, even one crossing the golden crack. I however lack the necessary talent, stomach and skills to really push its limits.

I do however take it camping, in a more overland fashion. It has taken me everywhere I've needed to go. But at 14MPG and very little cargo room.

Nice. What mods did you do? And what other rides were you considering before you got your VX?

Not mine, this one belongs to 'Jeeperkate' who's in my local Jeep Club:

And some I found on the net. After Kate said she was buying one, I had to find out what they were!

And if i had one, I'd want it to look like this!

They are very interesting suvs. Besides the Ford Raptor, and possible RR sport and Cayenne(with the adjustable suspension and not the old V6), what other suvs are like the Vehicross?

There weren't any other considerations when I bought my VX, I had wanted one for about 6 years, finally the stars aligned, I found the right vehicle for the right price and nabbed it.

    Modifications:
    OME Springs
    Indy4X
    - Coil Spacers
    - HD Tie Rods
    - Ball Joint Spacer (flipped Ball joints for better alignment)
All Energy Suspension grease-able Sway Bar mounts (front -rear)
Energy Suspension Bumpstops (front and rear)

    Bilstein HD Shocks all 4

    Rocky Road Sliders
33X12.5 Terra Mud Grapplers on HD Rockstars (way before they were on every domestic full size in the country )

Haven't installed but have custom CV Drop Brackets, to decrease the CV angle.

Plenty more that I'm surely forgetting.

I actually think it may be going on the market here shortly Need something that fits 2 adults, 1 child, 2 dogs and gear.
