    Default Long awaited build

IMG_3957.jpgIMG_3955.jpgIMG_3948.jpgWell here is the start of my build. I have gone full circle starting with a 94 LC back in 99....running the whole gammet from xj,tj,mj, 710 pinzgauer, 62 series.....and now I am back to a 93 80 series :^) Well I guess you just know what works and what dosnt after all of that. Long story short this build is a 93 cruiser. I scooped it up from a gent in NOCAL at a super reasonable price and good miles @ 140k. All maint records in place, and in exceptional shape....it was worth the wait. Here is the list on it so far. factory diff loc, front and rear lockers switched out for arb's along with 4.56 gears, slee lift with OME heavey springs in the rear and caster correction in front, fox 2.5 res shocks all the way around. Aux 30 gal fuel tank with transfer pump....must have! Twin batteries to run the extras. TRD supercharger helps lug the ol girl along, oversize radiator, oil and tranny cooler. All rear seats removed and replaced with drawer system and fridge slide. Engle 45 sits on top, and all of my goodies are in the drawers. I have a roll up tool kit in with jack and an inverter mounted in the rear next to the sub. The factory stereo was removed and all replaces with pioneer nav and all polk speakers...have to have the tunes :^) I have a cobra all in 1 cb mounted and a 2m on standby. Up top ...not in pics is a front runner roof rack, ezee awn 1600 rtt, arb awning, and a vision X 42" xmitter LED light....another must have, I had some light force but just sold them as the LED suits me better. There is an ARB bumper up front with a smitty built 10k winch with synthetic rope....cheap but good. The rear bumper is a Kamar with swing out tire carrier super burly and has taken a few hits. There are sliders on the sides and transfercase armour as well.I am selling the stock wheels and tires in the pics as I have a set of TRD wheels and am buying a set of KM2 tires......well that is about it.IMG_3960.jpg These pics are old and do not show the current roof rack and rtt set up....my light bar is on it as well. The fridge is mounted on the right side of the drawer system....will try to get some current pics this week.
Alot of the parts were bought on line used on various forums, or traded for. If you have the time and the energy to wait out a good deal they are out there and you can build your rig super cheap...I did.

Nice rig. I would keep the stock wheels. I think they're the best looking Toyota rims. But if you do change, make sure those TRD's have the same offset and width as the stock wheels. If the TRD rims are from an FJC or Tundra, the backspacing is going to be higher, which is no bueno.

Great looking rig. I not so secretly lust after 80 Series Land Cruisers. How do you like the LED bar? I've briefly considered going to LED, but I just went to HID on a couple lights, and definitely can't afford LEDs right now.

I am sold on the LED's. I dont drive fast enough to need HID's. The LED lights are a great temp and throw tons of light out. I have a 42 on my cruiser and a 52 on my other rig....I am in el paso if you wanna ck them out.

How hard is it to swap out the factory lockers for ARB's? I'd much rather have ARB's than factory lockers.

Unless your factory lockers are acting up or you have to tear into the axles leave the stockers alone...they work great. You are going to spend upwards of $1200+ in parts per axle not including labor if you dont have the tools or knowledge to do it. So out the door your looing at 3kish. How are your factory ones working now? LOL!
