    Oh wow, never noticed that. I thought you meant right next to the radiator, not the engine. Will have to remember to check that out, next time I'm under the hood.

    If the VCU fan clutch is bad how can I bush fix it till I get a new one.

    Ok just checked the fan when it was cold. It would spin Ez. I ran the motor till it got hot to normal temp. (about 10 min) then turn the motor off and the fan kept spinning. Did I do that the right way? If so how can I jam it up till I get a new fan? Thanks Eric

    Yes it sounds like you did it right. Maybe check a known good cars fan the same way and check if it stops immediately when warm or spins when cold.

    Not sure you can lock the fan like that.

    When I replaced mine, I simply bought one at a local pick and pull salvage yard... Cost was super cheap. Check your local pick and pulls or car-part.com

    Get a cross reference on year compatibility. There is a pick and pull sort of place near me that I may be visiting soon. They have a couple of monties that I'll be robbing parts from.
