My 09 Tacoma build thread
"Cross the bridge to the country roads; I'll follow that star wherever it goes" Wandering Star -- Lucero
I was pretty interested in Sierra. Guess I'll spend the six months of frustration grinding welds instead of begging for info. Bummer, seems like a great product, but without customer service, you don't have customers. thanks guys, without this thread, there'd be another guy wondering when he'd get what he paid for. Oh and for the record, yes Im a noob here, who came here doing research on the ethics of a local trailer builder before I made an inquiry.
Glad I read this. I dont have ten grand to tie up for six months, nor the desire to buy a bunch of headache with it.
Hey just got an email from Chris, he was asking for the shipping address for the trailer so I hope that we are getting closer.
Johnainny,
Glad to see you are posting the positive side of the this story, and it sounds like maybe Chris is digging out. Hopefully all will get their trailers and be very impressed with them.
I kinda quit reading this thread, almost like watching the nitely news, nothing but negatives, clad to see it changing.
Hey man, who do you think is causing the negatives. Forum member are simply reporting real life non-response experiences from Sierra4x4.
It is what it is. This stuff can't be made up. No other business would dare perform in this fashion. Folks need to get a clue when it comes to bad customer service and lack of product delivery when full payment has been made.
I started this tread to get yours and other forum members help to get Joe his Trailer. As of today, he still doesn't have his trailer and hasn't got one picture of it sent to him. He ordered it in October 2011. A 2000 sq foot house takes 8 to 10 month to build, but a trailer?? no way. I give it the smell test and its not good.
I talked to Joe a couple of hours ago and he said he is going to call Chris tomorrow and get a delivery date for his trailer.
I hope Joe will post something and I hope it truly is good news for Sierra and those waiting for their trailers.
For those who have received your trailer, ejoy the summer with it, you deserve it.
I have talked to Chris multiple times over the course of 3 weeks asking him questions about his fenders and trailer handle. Needless to say, every time I call him....he answers the phone and remembers who I am. He even called me back today. Anyways, I don't think he is a shady guy trying to take people's money. I placed an order today, so I guess time will tell. So far my experience has been positive. I'll keep you guys posted on my fenders, he said I'd get them by next week.
Said he sent my $ for my Safari down to Autohome last week, so I'm waiting to hear from Autohome that's it's come in and can be shipped. It has been 3 weeks though since I was first became aware that my RTT was there since the beginning of May, has been awaiting payment, was told that my check was on the way.
I also urged him to respond here and let people know what's going on. I feel more than confident that Most people here are good folks that don't want to see someone get hurt or fail in life and that a little explanation from him would go a very long way. He's aware of the thread and knows my opinion that this is bad business for him.
I truly believe he's a good guy with honest intentions that is having a frazzled time keeping up with deadlines. No doubt, it's a superior product and I wish him the best.
And MUY GRANDE: nobody has said in 11 pages of this thread that "he is a shady guy trying to take people's money". This has been one of the more classy threads regarding customer issues with a business and I hope it stays that way.
