My wife and I just want our trailer. I pick Sierra 4x4 trailers because we like the small shops that pay attention to detail. But it seams like I just can not get the truth from Chris. He keeps telling me that I will love the trailer. I am understanding about delays, but that is not my fault. Chris never tells you that he is behind or that he is waiting to get some of the parts from different manufactures. Camping season is here and we were hoping to have it by now!

@Titanpat57. Please don't compound this. Does it occur to you that calling someone less than "legit" is an insult?

Let's get back to the issue here. I understand there are several forum members that can communicate with Chris. Can someone talk to Chris and get these guys their trailers?

Snow, instead of starting a new thread (and Joe should really be the one posting) why not take the time to search and post to the thread that already has 270 posts in it?
Starting a new thread on the same subject causes forum clutter.
Take the time to search and find a thread already that covers the topic.
It seems searching has become a lost art these days, and most want to be spoon fed without putting any effort forth on their part.
Better yet this thread should be merged with the existing one.

I as a vendor would prefer that a new thread be started, if someone was having an issue with my business practices. The regular Sierra thread is a product show case and I wouldn't want it messed with. With a separate thread, you're allowed to address the issue then let it get flushed through to forum oblivion. Point being, there isn't any netiquette issue with doing it either way.

The credit card company will not do anything, but go after the seller.

Law enforcement will not touch this issue, unless there is fraud involved. Even then, very doubtful they would touch such a small case. And good luck proving an intent to deceive. Your only legal option is civil court.

I'd do what ever I could to get my money back. You're throwing down with Sierra here and I wouldn't trust what he'd deliver as a trailer at this point.

Fortunately for the buyer, internet justice is alive and well. Search Charlie Wenzel and you'll see how it's done. Here's a link, but I think the read on Pirate is the best way to read the story LINK

Hi I’m Joe, 1st of all, I can’t tell you how upset, frustrated, and angry I am about the whole Sierra4x4 trailer fiasco. In 2 weeks, it will be 9 months of this crap. I bought a Sierra4x4 trailer in October 2011, invoice is dated Oct 12, 2011. I paid up-front full price including delivery promised in January, that’s 90 days. Chris who owns Seirra4x4 said he would send pictures and keep me updated via email. About a month later, I started calling every couple of weeks to get updates and pictures. Chris always said he would send pictures the next day, each time, no pictures. When January 2012 arrived, I asked for a delivery date, Chris said he was finishing up my trailer and would delivery it in a couple of weeks, meanwhile he would send pictures. Again, no picture. In February, I started getting worried and called weekly for delivery dates and pictures. Chris made excuses about, losing employees, painting problems, lid issues, etc. and very busy delivering other customer’s trailers to Texas and Arizona and I would have to wait. This sounded normal at first but these crazy events went on each week into March and again in April and still not one picture, not one returned phone call, and more delivery date promises. At this point I am more than very concerned so I started calling Chris 3 to 4 times a week each time getting, no pictures, no delivery dates, no return calls leaving me very frustrated. What am I to do. Clearly, Chris doesn’t care if I ever get a trailer. I can’t trust Chris, his word is simply no good. I spoke with him on May 22, and he said he would personally delivery my trailer so I could use it over the Memorial Day weekend. He never showed. I called and spoke with him yesterday and asked him why he was a no show, and his comments to me was,” ah Joe, I’m busy, I can only do so much”. Judge for yourself, but take it from me, Chris never did return one phone call, never sent one picture, and always promised delivery in 1 or 2 more weeks.

Pretty much all of us have had problems with a vendor. My truck's sliders were a 90 day PITA before I finally got delivery. If you want the support of the forum don't go ballistic on anyone who doesn't seem to agree with you. TitanPat is far from a "fanboy" as he builds his trailers from scratch so your name calling should be retracted. Every vendor has a base of fans and attacking them will not further the goal of getting Joe his trailer through the support of all of the die-hard offroad trailer fans here.

    Corey,
Originally, I was going to comment on the existing thread, but with so many comments already on the thread, I did not expect any response because it would be buried at the bottom of the heap. By starting a new thread my intention is to get immediate attention and feedback so we can get Joe his Trailer. I believe I am on the right track on this one. If you still disagree with my actions then you are just going to have to forgive my boldness.

Jim, You and Pat are senior to me on the forum and I will retract the term. Poor choice by me. Pat's use of "legit" to calling into question the claim by the thread initiator, should also be retracted.

Thanks for the efforts to stay friendly. As for myself, being senior may just excuse my forgetfulness. I'm not much of a model anyhow but I do know Pat wasn't taking sides even if his word choice seemed incorrect to you. Anyhow, back on topic.

Maybe Joe can post up an edited image of his original order and just PhotoShop out personal info.
