Congratulations !
Tell us all about it.
What model and options and features, etc.
Any photos of the interior ?
How's the access between cab and cabin ?
Cheers,
Frank

frank thanks for remarks.
the proven web site has some great pictures of the inside, better than i could take.
as to the specs on ours,we ordered a work truck chassis, manual transfer case, manual windows,no power seats etc.
steel wheels,6.0 gas eng. the less electronics the better (for me anyway).
the build was bengal model (more headroom ,about 6" more) as Provan was willing to add/delete as we wanted
we deleted the gen, roof ac,microwave, bathroom sink (who needs 2 sinks) added a boat type opening escape
hatch over bed for access to roof so we would not have to have ladder on rear.
solar was added by us. 2-75 watt panels gives us all the power we need.
since bringing home i have modified the fold out steps as they hung down to far,now they are above frame rails.
have added a removable motorcycle carrier for our dual sport. added flexible couplings to black/grey water holding tanks
a weak spot as they hang down and are prone to be hit in off road use, with the flex fittings there is a lot of give and
under extreme hits will pull loose so as not to damage tanks.
unit as del had a weight ticket from state showing gvw with full water.gas,propane.driver of 8700 pounds
since factory gvw is 10,700 we have 2000 pounds to cover anything we add and be within legal limits, was one of the
reasons we went with reg cab, extended and crew cabs come in much higher.
so far we have no complaints very happy with tiger and the folks at Provan.
having looked at many tigers (older ones) the new ones are being built to a much higher standard than before.
if any body has questions in regards to tigers i am open to questions.

I agree with the items you added/deleted and going with the standard cab. Very well thought out. Thanks for sharing!
Very nice. The base models have too many bells/whistles for my tastes, very cool they weren't unreasonable about deleting a bunch of it.
I haven't paid attention, have you removed the FWC and sixpac from your stables now I assume?

I've got extra 14ga red and black SXL wire, $18 for 100' coil shipped if interested PM me.
What a great looking tiger! Congrats on the purchase.
I will be following your lead on the flex pipes.

Hi Les,
Thanks for your response back.
Understood about the interior photos.
Looks like you folks really did your homework.
Like that you got a basic chassis, rather than ordering all the gimmicks.
Cool about all the manual functions, too.
Glad to hear that Provan were so willing to work with you on the order, too.
How has the gas mileage been, so far ?
Cheers,
Frank

pods8, yes we have removed the fwc,six-pac,and ford pop top van,now just the tiger and dual sport!
Frank, so far with the trip back from factory(towing our car)plus a couple of trips to desert and mountains
milage is stuck at 12 mpg about what i expected, with the amount of backroad/offroad miles we put in
i do not expect it to improve.
i will have a truer picture of milage after we get back from our next trip which will be on the back roads and trails
through Nevada,Idaho,Oregon which we will start in about 2 weeks.
and another mod we had done at factory was to delete the 2 windows on the front of bed area,as all they really do
is let heat/cold in. also factory added sliding windows in bed area which normally do not come with bengal model.
for many who says tigers are not custom when you set down with the Provan people you will find out that they
are willing to do almost any custom work you want at the time of build.
a couple of little things bothered me but were easily fixed, one was access to battery compartment,i had to reroute
and remount 12v and 110v outlet so as to modify access door to batteries, once this was done 2 screws and you can
service batteries, without fixing you would have a hassle in the field for access.
having now had a pretty good chance to look everything over i was impressed as to the workmanship that went into
things that do not show, such as wiring everything i've looked at is neat and secured at all spots, most other campers i
have had seems to have the feeling of "out of sight out of care if it neat or not"
with use i will report the short falls if and as they show up.!
thanks for remarks
Les.lqhikers
thought i would post some pictures of mods done since april pick up.
step mod,cut off bottom step and rebuilt so step is now above frame when closed.
motorcycle carrier,removable 2 bolts.
shovel/axe mount on swing out tire rack.
flex couplings on grey/black water holding tanks (incase they hang up they will pull loose)
garbage bag mount on rear storage box.
air compressor in eng compartment (under white canvas cover) ideal location as this is a gas eng
the factory leaves the second battery location tray and compressor fits perfect.
home made console in cab to replace cup holder tray only by factory.
solar roof mount for 2 75 watt panels, also shows requested custon escape hatch done by factory.
and last the very required fishing pole holders!
hope this gives other tiger owners/dreamers some ideas!
Les,lqhikers
Thanks for sharing your changes, as usual they look to be well thought out.
Look forward to seeing your trip pics![]()
