Default German Ex-Army 4x4 trucks, list of dealers/exporters

    Hi there,
here my list of dealers, which offer German ex-army 4x4 trucks such as Unimog, Mercedes 4x4, G-Wagen, MAN Kat etc. They are cheap and all have LHD.
These dealers do exports as well or help you to get German export registration valid 1 year for all countries.
    Have a nice trip

Default 4x4 Ex-Army vehicle dealers in other countries

    Hi there,
if you know dealers (with own website) in your country, which offer ex-army 4x4 vehicles I would be happy to find them here. This would help me to add the good ones to my list.
Most important would be the official office, which sells ex army vehicles in your country, where dealers have to buy them.
    Thanks in advance!

Hi Klaus, you probably know all this but for the benefit of others, in England ALL MOD vehicles get sold through Witham Specialist Vehicles (MOD-SALES.com) which you have listed. Any other dealer will buy vehicles through Witham, either directly or at their auctions, and will sell them on at a profit. This is not to say it is best to go through Witham though, as Witham will sell vehicles in the condition they are given them in, and so if you are looking for a quality vehicle it is better to accept the mark up and by through another dealer unless you know what to look for.

    Other decent UK dealers include:

    L Jackson nato disposals - http://www.ljacksonandco.com/
    Crouch Recovery - http://www.crouchrecovery.co.uk
    http://jimthetruck.blogspot.co.uk/
    Mercedes 1823 4x2

Default German Federal Disposal Sales and Marketing Agency

    Hi there,
the "German Federal Disposal Sales and Marketing Agency" VEBEG is marketing ex-army vehicles. Very interesting the page on which they publish for how much they sold in the past.
A UNIMOG 435 (130 HP, Diesel) was sold for some 8 300 € (10 000 US$) plus 19% VAT, a Mercedes 4x4 truck 1017 (10 tons, 170 HP, Diesel), was sold for 8 700€ (11 000 US$) plus 19% VAT. Exports are free of VAT. All vehicles are Diesel and LHD. Everyone is free to take part in their auctions.
The VEBEG is where most of the vehicles come from, the 40 sales companies of which are listet on my website.

    By the way,
in this forum I described how anyone from any country without a residence in Germany can register a vehicle in any part of Germany for one year and travel the world.

Default List of Ex-Army Expedition-Vehicles updated

    Hi there,
I recently sent a message to all companies which show up in my list of dealers of German ex-army 4x4 trucks like Unimog or Mercedes 4x4 trucks or Mercedes G-Wagen asking them to confirm their data. So I could throw some out, correct others and add a new one.

Klaus: There are a number of importers of european vehicles but the biggest issue in the US is that it is very difficult to import vehicles that are less than 25 model years old. So if the German 4x4 vehicles you are wanting to export are titled as 1988 or newer, it will be almost impossible to get them imported to the USA. Anything older than 1988 should be importable. I know a few years ago some importers and sellers with names like Swiss Army Vehicles and Cold War Remarketing were importing 70's - era Pinzgauers and Unimogs from Switzerland and some east-bloc vehicles as well.

    Hi Martin,
I just checked at the most important website www.VEBEG.de, where all the ex-army vehicles in Germany come from. All of the UNIMOGS are older than 1988, except accidents. The Mercedes 250 G are newer.
By the way, I do not sell vehicles, but I like them, what I sell is satellite telephones www.expeditionstechnik.de.
