Veranda Bow problem on ARB tent

Got my new ARB tent mounted alright, but the "veranda bow" wouldn't pull out on the right side. ARB sent me a new set. Trouble is, I cannot figure out how the new set works. The inner tubes won't move, in other words, I can't get them to do the necessary trombone like move that they are supposed to do. Seems there is some sort of cam deal I don't know about. Can't get hold of ARB until monday and I was wondering if any of you kind folks could help me out?

Are you talking about the part of the tent that pulls out over the ladder?

What rendition is your tent? III, IIIB (fiberglass reinforced veranda poles w/thumblocks), IIIC (cam locked veranda poles). If its the cam version, you simply twist them to unlock, pull them out until the veranda is tight and then twist to lock.

I have the cam lock version. Seems my original bow had a burr or something inside the tube. ARB sent me replacement parts but only sent the inside and not the outer tube as well. Took me a bit to figure that out. I'm going to have them send me a new outer tube on Monday. Thanks for your help!
