Default leakage around forward hinge on Wildernest. Solutions?

Just forward of the front hinge of our wildernest camper, where the lid turns, we have a leak. The fiberglass has no cracks and the canvas is worn but intact. The gasket is in bad shape, but does not contribute to a leak anywhere else. When you close the lid, the gasket does not seat against the main hull fiberglass and some of the fabric shows underneath. We think this is where lots of moisture is getting in when it rains. There is plenty of opening there where the lid is open and tent set up.
Anyway, any suggestions as to how we might seal/fix this? It is annoying since it lets moisture inside and on the mattress. Anyone else have the problem? If so, what did you do about it?
    Thanks, WES LODER

Every time it rains the inside really sags when it is shut on mine. It used to puddle in the truck bed but I put a rubber gasket along the bottom to meet the top/existing rubber gasket when closed. Now I think the sagging is just from moisture. Have a picture of the issue?
