    Default Yamaha DT400 Question

A coworker recently informed me that he would sell me a 1986 Yamaha DT400 for $400USD. I tried searching the internet for information, but could only find info on 1970's models. I will not see him for th next week.

Does anyone here have any info on the DT400 ? Is it a suitable enduro/weekend explorer ?

    Thanks.

For $400, make sure it runs!

You can read all the stories and watch all the videos you want, but there's no substitute for just getting out there and doing it.

    I don't think they made DT400s in '86.

And it's not listed in the OEM parts catalog:

If it's a DT400, then it's a great bike for exploring. Two stroke so it's a little touchy, but for 400 bucks if it runs, it's worth it. The AHRMA guys buy them for that price a lot of times even if they don't run.

If it's an '86, then it's something else.
