we have one of the sand mats seems to work pretty good AZ dust still comes up a bit through it when stomping around but very little I mean a small puff near the feet and thats it ! and thats this powder dust ! sand and stuff for sure nothing comes up through it ! so pretty cool stuff for a floor to keep your tent cleaner at least the way we use ours

want to do some more comparisons to regular shade cloth which I used in the past though for fun but think its going to be better
the sand mat does develop static though !! at least wearing Keen shoes it does
its nice heavy and compared to shade cloth its heavier and thicker and seems to hold up well
it can be slippery with socks or bare feet a tiny bit but not to bad the kids came running in one time and each has had their feet go out from under them on the sand mat ! but only once so its kinda nice it slows em down a bit now hahahahaha

we got the blue one pic here in our tent setup as ground cloth
