Patrol Y62 or Infiniti QX56 - has anyone taken one off the pavement?

Dear Nissan faithful,

While I realize that the Y62/QX56 is not like the Patrols of the past, I wanted to see if anyone from ExPo had taken one off the beaten path. If so, what did you think? The reason for my question - a friend is looking for a new SUV and wanted something that could hit 20 mpg on the highway with more internal storage room than a 4runner. So, a Land Cruiser and Sequoia are on her list, but I wanted to see if the QX should be in the mix.

On a side note, when I sat down for a quick search, I found a few off-road bits out for the Y62/the New Q including:

Bullbar and Air-locker from ARB (not sure how well this would fit the QX)

patrol4x4 have an ongoing discussion about Y62. not available in the US so you will not get much if any at all feedback here.

Also, while the Y62 'Patrol' isn't sold here, my understanding was that the new (2011 and onward) Infiniti QX56 was a Y62 variant. Does anyone know if that is indeed the case?

My understanding is that is the case.

BTW, seen lot's of them here in JH. I would roll in one if all I needed to do was hit up the mall. By today's SUV standards it is not a bad looking vehicle.
