I have an 02 on the lift right now. Pretty sure its the same set up.
The passenger side is about as simple as it gets. Its a u shaped clamp that is held on with a bolt and a nut.
The driver side is a little more time consuming. It is pressed into the rack and is held in with a giant bolt from the front of the sub frame through the frame and rack.
I bet it would come out fairly easy. But pressed bushing can wear you out some times.
Also there is a center bolt but that's easy. Just a simple nut and bolt for location.
This truck I have on the lift now is cupping the tires pretty bad and in this case it's in the lower control arm bushings that are completely worn and there is no way to align it as well as the eccentric's are seized in the rear control arm mount. However the rack bushings are great.
Id check everything real well. The rack bushings are easy. But might now be 100% of the issue.
hope this helps a little
