    Rad!

Much better way to go than chopping up the Flipper.

Adding a lot of versatility to the truck too.

Can't wait to see it finished. There might be hope yet for the Taco DC stumpy bed after all!

Shoot, might have a little side business right there too, I can see a market for it.

Well most of it is done. I have a bunch more to do. remove the rear hitch and attach it higher. move the spare tire carrier up higher. figure a better place for the gas filler. Mud flaps. Those are the main ones for now. I have decided I have to bed line the whole bed as its jus to bling for me. I'm excited about the extra space underneath as I now finally have a place for my dual battery and water tank.

I always wanted to do that when I had my Wildernest, have tool boxes sit on the flatbed, and the 'Nest on top of the toolboxes.

So here is a quick example of what it should look like when the bed is black. I will also have to make a small "head board" for when the camper is off.

    Awesome build project!

I have a similar flat bed, but the frame is steel with aluminum bed and sides. I have a homegrown DIY Wildernest ghetto fab on it now.

Very nice! A removable headache rack will look nice on it, too. Have you thought about some drop side panels for the tray?

well I got the the old bed off and the weird hitch off and am currently redesigning that so I dont loose the amazing clearence Ive gained. I will prolly get a chance to work on it again next week so wait for the updates. Ive added some temp mudflaps so that is something I will also have to figure out. I cant believe how light this thing turned out. Id say it weighs under 150 lbs cant wait to bed line it!
