All good, my spec sheet is from last year i think. it may be very possible that they canned the 1022 and now sell a de-rated 13t.. i think it would be the same deal as with MAN and the 10.220. beautiful vehicle and just that bit more compact for a large truck, but unfortunetly not very commercially viable so MAN ditched it in the TGM range, now all you can get is a 13.280
btw speaking of 10.220, there is a beat up crewcab one nearby in a mine/drilling yard.. im thinking of seeing what they want for it, as its been sitting there for over 4 months, and doesnt look worth the time for a mine company to fix up.. have to see if the dad is interested in a project. ive got too many truck build projects as it is.... in my opinion though the late model L2000 10.220 is probly MAN's pinnacle of offroad vehicles- powerful, comfortable and modern looking with awesome offroad spec, but not too electronically complex to be a reliable bush truck.

If you get any pics, PM me...I always a sucker for a "project".....especially Euro trash. Lol.

Here's a sample of a regular cab version of the MAN they are referring to:

That truck is from Germany and the guy bought it for an expedition vehicle build. English translation of his page is here: http://translate.google.com/translat...hrgestell.html

    German page is here: http://www.expeditionsmobil.eu/fahrgestell.html

    Beautiful rig.

I guess this will be one more day of stewing about the cool trucks we can't get here in the US...

Does anybody have the dimensions of the 10.220 cab & chassis available (width, height, length)?

I tried Google, but it returns a kazillion "for sale" listings with the dimensions of the payload area. I need the overall dimensions of a stock cab & chassis. Thanks!

Cheers Doug she is a nice truck, beautiful to drive to ,convinced dad to let me borrow it on the easter wkend coz i had a trip planned but sold my canter the week prior.

dimensions for a 10.220, WB 3560, OAW 2300, OAH (to cab) i think about 2800. the body length on this truck is 4800, and rear overhang is about 1800 with that body, so not to long.
    sorry, all dimension in mm.

We are currently living in Texas, USA. Getting 80m down into somebody's property here is typically ruled "suicide" at the coroner's hearing.

Do you look anything like me? How about if I put on a wig? I'd be glad to let you use our FG here in North America if you think I can convince your dad to let us use his MAN for a ... while.

No worries. I often slip into metric dimensions here, which leads to a lot of quizzical looks.
