I recently ordered some 235/85/16 General Grabber AT/2s for my Tacoma. Will have to go back to my stock rims to run the tires though.

    Default And another option

If your getting new steelies, FJ cruiser wheels are another option to think about. I just picked up my Taco with the factory FJ Cruiser rubber 265 70 R17's (dealer did a swap for me) and it has eliminated my desire for a lift. I am going with the pizza cutter wheels and am waiting for my 245 75 R17's BFG comp ta KO's to come in next week. I will upload pics later today if you are interested.

Lift with the 17's is approximately 1/2 inch (depending on tread/with etc....)

The FJC wheels are hardly "pizza cutter" wheels, at 7.5" width they're wider than the TRD OR package wheels.

    Kermit,

    Those look awesome!

    Thinking of these also 265/75
I am very happy with them, my on road stopping distance has decreased as well. I was running BFG AT's before these, had
a couple scary instances when pulling my moto-trailer in the wet, when I had to stomp on the brakes they would just slide.

These almost act like suction cups. Offroad I find I don't feel the need to put it in 4WD as often.
Been told they'll last longer than Goodyears, but only time will tell.

Only drawback so far, is that they are noisy on pavement, but I don't mind.

I just pulled that picture from the net, but here they are on my Tacoma.

Had a set of Goodyear MTR's once, those rubbed...the same size Coopers don't. 32/11.5/15
    I do have a 2.5" coil-over lift though.

I'd be interested in seeing some pics if you get the time....

    And another...Tire Close.jpg

Wheels will be painted dark gray later this summer. Currently I have no rubbing with this combo, but with a more aggressive tread I could see having a problem. The FJ tires look big but I think it's a trick of the wheels.

    Default Getting sorted

deadbeat son : you were right, not pizza cutters but these look much better than the previous photos. The 245 75 R17 BFG Comp TAs are stiff!! Even at 35 psi that are way more nimble and less bouncy than the 265 70 R17's that were shown previously at 44psi.

Awesome! Thanks for posting these photos. I have the same wheels with 255/75-17 BFG MTs, and have been considering the 245/75-17 ATKO. I just also happen to drive a white Tacoma DC.
