Electrical problem

hi guys
i have a Landrover 2000,series 2,,,three days ago the M and S icons on board started lighting toghether ,and also the D- drive. I never use any of M or S ,so I was surprised they've conected by them selves.The car rides slower and I dont know what is all this. The book tells me that when M and S icons light toghether is an electrical fault, so I like to know if is a big problem or I can still drive the car ,since I need to get back home- about 200 miles. If any one can give any ideea what to do or what it is I will appreciate. Thank you all .

Wow....you probably want to start a thread for this as taking this on here isn't really the place.

But your battery is dying and/or your alternator is going bad. And decent parts store will be able to test both for you for free.

Well since that was yesterday did you make home and figure out what was going on?
