Anyone using a GPSmap 78s?

I'm wondering how the patch ant. is performing under heavy cover. I'm a bit worried about moving away from a quad-helix ant. My 60 CSX used to work great but the 62S dropped the 4 pin connector which is a deal breaker for me.

Before you say keep the CSX, it's sitting at the bottom of the ocean so that's not an option. Plus I like the expanded memory of the new ones.

Ok nevermind. After some research I realized my VHF won't support APRS unless I upgrade the control panel for $300. If I do that I can also get an integrated gps for it so I don't need the 4 pin on the garmin unit anymore anyway.

So that being the case I can go with the 62s and stick with the quad-helix ant. WooHoo.
