The Signal Peak trail you went up is considered difficult not suitable to stock 4WD according to this book http://www.amazon.com/Northern-Calif..._bxgy_b_text_b As always there is one kind of stock then all the rest of them.

Yeah, It was challenging at times, but for the most part it was a piece of cake. My susp is completely stock, except for a body lift. No rear coil spacers, no torsion bar lift.

Doesn't the author drive a jeep?

Great series of books from him BTW. It's what I use for planning most of the time.

I just ordered that book on Amazon. Looked pretty good in the Amazon preview section.

Looks like a fun trip BTW. Looks like it could be useful for a good for a shake down run for new vehicle mods.

Yeah, you'll find it pretty well laid out and easy to reference when planning trips.

Also recommend taking it to FedexKinkos and having them re-bind it using a spiral binding. Will cost ~$10 but it's much easier to use this way than with the standard book spline.
