Hi Alan,
That's funny....I literally just looked at that 6x6 Inter on ebay a minute ago and then thought I'll check in on expo before bed......and there you are posting about it.
Anyway, pretty cool truck. I always liked them. When I lived in Tassie, the guy that delivered our fire wood used to have an ex Army 4x4 Inter with a Canter motor/box/transfer which went OK in the bush but it was pretty slow.
Never used a Road Ranger...are they a bit tricky? An Allison would probably drop in behind that Cummins I guess if the Road Ranger was a bit of a handful in the bush.
BTW ... Working on an Allison / FG84 conversion at the moment...pretty keen to get that rolling. Also saw the latest post on your build. That cab looks like a handful but it'll be all worth it soon. Good on ya.
Kind regards
John

Hi John,
I had a smile when i seen it, i don't know how it ended up with a chev blitz nose
The auto would be the go for sure!
The canter cab should come up ok i'm getting use to surprises at every corner, pick up 2 brand new doors tomorrow, out of the 4 i had all were buggered with cracks and rust.
Alan
your not considering another "project" are you?
definatley a novelity though, Id hate to see the fuel consumption
BTW John - Road Rangers are easy, they just take a little practice
No more projects for me, this Canter will be the last for a long time.

you say that now while you have bits and pieces of truck laying all over the place and it feels like youll never see the finished product
but once its done and you have a big shiny BRIGHT YELLOW beast sitting in the drive hindsight will tell you
"that was easy - time for another one" at which point you wife will probably start talking about bad moods, short tempers, foul language and over her dead body
Well that was my experience anyway after I finished a 1982 hilux and wanted to do up an old ski boat
Yeer your probably right!I don't know what i was thinking sorry! what about this one...http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/4wd-4x4-b...item4ab876824c
Is that a truck or is it a brick on wheels??? Yikes...
My attempt to build something to go somewhere else...
