Default Nikon D600: Full frame for the masses....

    What they heck...

A 24 megapixel full frame sensor in a D7000 'like' body for around $1500. What do ya think?

The D800 is just too rich for me.

    The D600 sounds just right.

yeah seems to be nice especially if it has dual card slots

if it comes out at that price range I think they will have a hit on their hands

guess we will find out in Sep will be fun to see all the new stuff

guess someone else who saw one ? said they are quite small though more like the entry level models
again cant wait to see new toys in Sep

Small sounds like a good thing for me at least. I played with a D800, and besides being too expensive and too large of files to handle in the field, I'm none too sure I want that large of a frame to lug around everywhere. My D300 is quite heavy enough after 8 or 10hrs around me neck!

Way to go Nikon! They seem to be pushing all the right buttons lately .....as far as tools for the landscape/nature enthusiast.

At $1500 with a magnesium body I may have to rethink the D800.

Should be good, but I'm still thinking about picking up a used D700. Would be an easy transition from my D300 (which is starting to get long in the tooth). Hopefully this will push down the price of the D700!
